Anyone traveling abroad should be aware of any of the "do's and don’ts" of a culture before hitting the streets of an unknown land; not only is it respectful, but it can keep you safe and out of legal trouble. While traveling can result in a lot of hilarious and harmless blunders, breaking laws such as drunk driving is not easily brushed aside with a universal smile or laugh. In the United ...

Broke down for all of 5 minutes then we got to the hotel and had 45 mins to get changed then go for dinner. It was a buffet dinner at Golden Corral which wasn't amazing but it was alright. Tomorrow, more friends and more adventures.

Beautiful morning for coffee on the deck... and then a 40-mile drive west to Ron's house in between Selma and Kenly. This area is on the edge of North Carolina's Sandy Lowlands and was a prime tobacco growing region. Ron's family has lived in this area for generations. His great-grandparents' original 1880's home and other ...

        The Beginning

... night and off we went to the Olive Garden. I think the meal was delicious but we were both too tired to really appreciate it. When we got back to the coach it was freezing, literally. The temps were in the 30’s and we couldn’t get the heat to come on. We had the electric fireplace and they are so pretty and will get the chill off but believe me there was more than chill in there. We began to unpack and store some of the bins ...
