Well we left Thunder Bay to Sault Ste Marie (pronounced as Sue Saint Mawree). It means Mary's Rapids. The drive was spectacular - Lake Superior is so beautiful (and so big). Today we got sun for the first time on our trip. It felt so good and we just had a great time even though Monique has come down with a cold and I'm still getting over ...

Leaden grey skies and rain welcomed us to Ontario as we passed through Kenora, home of Husky the Muskie ( a sturgeon or Jackfish?). The scenic route wove a path around Lake of the Woods with over 17,000 islands that all seemed to have beautiful cottages, docks and every size and shape of water transport. Taking the northern trucker route to Thunder Bay was a little shorter but ...
