... was starting to come right by then. It took me over an hour and a half to travel to Versailles and I was amazed at how many people were on the train. It was a late train ( I didn't leave till 11am ) but it was standing room only, and when we arrived there were groups of hundreds of people walking through the township in the same direction. Back to the hotel and it is nice to have so many familiar faces around. It is also a bit funny to hear so many Australian accents. We are so used to hearing French everywhere we go. ... and just looked right - very quaint - very French. The fellow behind the counter - Thierry, was very cheerful and happy and explained our options in his best English. We went for the good old lasagne as it looked great and also chose a chocolate anglais and a cheesecake for dessert (you can guess who had the cheesecake!).
