... the promise of afternoon tea, that we headed out.

We caught the Metro to Concorde and then on to Madeleine. There were signs everywhere saying Madeleine so I had to get some photos. We looked at lots of patisseries but didn't buy anything and eventually we arrived at Galeries Lafayette - which is a massive department store.

... the Champs Élysées where we were informed that the best position to be for the perfect photo of the arc de Triomphe was in the middle of the 2 lanes of traffic. We got ready with our cameras and as soon as there was a break in the traffic we new we had 35seconds to get in and get the best photo we possibly could.
