    ... was our first full day in San Francisco and it was gorgeous. I slept okay if a bit patchy, and the temperature was bizarre as I was too hot under my duvet and too cold out of it, even the half and half thing didn’t help. But I did manage to sleep in till a bit later than I have been and we had an nice leisurely morning figuring out the kitchen appliances.

    ... learning, playing and making music. We finished about 5pm which meant all the crowds were heading to Fisherman's wharf and the piers along the waterfront for new years and trying to get 5 of us on a tram was proving to be quite difficult (and that was for the ones that stopped and not already at capacity)! So, much to the girls delight we jumped into 2 bike rickshaws to take us back to the station ...

    ... traffic chaos while we kept driving down it and laughing our heads off. As the afternoon drew to a close, we drove through the San Francisco CBD taking in the sights and getting caught in more traffic jams. Eventually we made it to the mall again for a little bit of shopping. Back to the hotel for a swim and dinner, then watched some baseball on the TV before heading to bed. A great day in a city that has really impressed ...
