      When in Rome... sit in the airport waiting for your flight to be delayed by two hours. Happily, they had free Wifi so I could do important things like chasing my landlord to give my deposit back. Tosser.       ... there, there was no hope in hell.

      My second thought was that I'd never seen such a bunch of random stuff to go in one bag in my life. Clothes, medicines, sink plug, adapter, electronics, towel, pillow, first aid, whistle, emergency blanket, torches, locks...


      Bit by bit I managed to condense the heaps of clothes and my new packing cubes worked a treat. In 3 shallow packing cubes I managed to fit:
      4x vests
      2x tshirts

      Sitting on the plane trying to figure out how to switch off this annoying screen in front of me, i mean how much can you advertise the airline when I've already bought the ticket and sitting on the plane. Still ten minutes to lift off but with an eleven hour flight in front of me ...

      ... get home again. Mind you, Val's sense of direction is a little wayward, so we might venture off the beaten track from time to time. I haven't yet broken the news to Val that I'm a member of the Flat Earth by the end our of trip either her theory, or my theory, will be proven correct!

      ... over your bug although it takes a while to lose that drained feeling, doesn't it. Don't start making excuses for blog mistakes before you even begin the trip.. imagine, blaming a keypad .. imagine! I'm not sure when we'll catch up next..Nic and I are coming to Sydney in Sept but will, sadly, miss you although it will be nice to know you are enjoying your holiday adventures.
