A good 12 hours sleep for me last night so up early and refreshed. Well kind of, when we puled into this spot there we a number of other vans and it seemed to be in a quiet spot well, we were wrong and didn't really discover this until later on in the night. They were marking the roads, then ever road train in Australia did a drive by some even kind enough to toot their mighty horns at around 2am. thanks guys.
Anyway the bakery is ...
After 2 nights on Phillip Island, we realised we ought to make a move as we were becoming far too 'at home' chatting to the neighbours, walking our 5 mins walk to Elizabeth Cove, mowing the lawn (Andrew not me, don't panic) and generally playing 'house' at Sally's - so we set off, via some hardware stores of course, bcs A needed a fix. In the guise of he 'needed some more storm water drainage pipe', in order to secure the aerial on the roof rack - which is ...
Seaspray, Victoria, Australia marmitevegemiteNot much today to report - drove through some beautiful green, hilly and meanering rivers full of water farming country and Denzel informed us everytime we passed the cows and sheep and trucks and horses and anything we passed with a high pitched "OOOOOOK" the most notible being the Snowy River. We we're planning to cross the Victoria border and stay at Lake ...
Stratford, Victoria, Australia drownsroundausWoke up to find the toilet block was closed for cleaning. A long drive awaited us and there was no way I was prepared to leave without taking care of certain business first. Everyone was in the same boat actually. 35 agonising minutes later we discover that there is a second toilet block. D'oh! We had bacon butties, packed up HMS Gooner and set off toward Victoria - "The place to be". Farewell New South wales. It was a long, long drive and very beautiful for the first half ...

Sale, Victoria, Australia jamesandruthWell some time has passed after my last entry so I better start from leaving the wonders of Kings cross, Sydney to my Wwoofing experience. Wwoofing stands for willing workers on organic farms. U pay 50 bucks for this book and a membership number and in the book are the addresses of all the people in all the states of Australia that take woofers. U basically go and work for them and get free accomodation and food. If you want to extend your visa to another year you ...
Sale, Australia pajas... out of the boat and drag it over/off of the exposed rocks. Flipping the boat, or even falling out was never much of a worry. Anyway, I passed my assessment course (one of the pieces of feedback I recieved was that I allowed the students to go too late in the day before having lunch, which increased their likelihood of tripping and injurying themselves because they were hiking tired and hungry. I thought of arguing that if I were running an ...
Buchan, Australia aeschwar... down, filling every single pocket in his combats with sand, piles of it. I think it took him just as long to empty the sand out of everything. I had a mini dash up it once he'd got down and then we had a race to see who could run up it the furthest. It was good fun, but a bit tiring in the early evening sun and after a long walk. I think we did about 5km round trip before getting back to the car. When we arrived back at the campsite the office was shut, so ...
Mallacoota, Australia lisartw... 600km ago. Small world once more. Phillip Island is an Australian Isle of Wight, with its main towns being Cowes, Newhaven, Rhyll and Ventnor, and driving along its five or so perfectly straight roads there's a real sense of being on an island, albeit an island just a couple of kilometres off of the mainland. We headed to the south-western tip today where the main attractions were to be found. The Nobbies are a smattering of rocks a good distance off the coast and home to one ...
