We drove across Iowa to the Mississippi River – we didn't realize that Iowa was bordered west and east by rivers – who knew? One of the TV shows we enjoy is American Pickers. She is one of the top ranked competitive female eaters in the world. It was pretty disgusting to ...

It's well signposted however, and I didn't have any trouble working out where I needed to go, it just took a while to get there! Jill and I had different arrival times, but within an hour or so of each other, and we'd pre booked shuttle taxis to the city, so we'd arranged that I'd wait until a certain time, but just go ahead and get the next taxi if ...

... main shopping streets in Chicago. I need winter clothes for later on in the year and there was a Forever 21 and H&M right next to me... I couldn't resist. I also stopped by the Chanel counter at Macy's and picked up some make-up - it's so much cheaper than in Australia! By the time I finished shopping, it was too late to go to Millennium Park, so I made my way back to the hostel. The area I was staying in was Greek Town - think China Town, but ...
