We had planned to have continental breakfast at the hotel around 8:30, but we were running a little late. Breakfast ended at 9:00, but the lady at the hotel brought some food out for us even though it was 8:55. We thought 9:00 was early for breakfast to end, but at least we got something.

... lots of basic tables but all full with the locals. Our waitress Brittney (briitneee) was very nice but really into trying to figure out the puzzles on the Lone Star beer tops. We decided not to try the alligator tenders (maybe another time!) and settled for crab cake for Peter & grilled shrimp for me, all very good especially the baked potato. There was some strange stuff for sale in jars there that we passed on, don't want to try everything ...

OK, so here is the story of the first day of our trip.

Yesterday (Tuesday) we took "G/G" and the TOAD to Camping World to have the auxiliary brake installed. Yes I know it should have been done before, but no one ever accused us of doing things the easy way. Anyway, we drove out early yesterday, turned both vehicles in and was told they would be ready about 4 pm. So off we went back home. I had driven my car out while Bob towed the car so we could go back home.
