... apple butter and sorghum to eat with your rolls. Bob ordered fried chicken and they brought him a leg, 2 wings and a breast. I swear, the chicken must have weighed 15 lbs! His doggie bag contains the breast and both wings! I had liver and onions. Since I can not cook it at home I have to eat it in restaurants. It was pretty good, but I had to bring about half of it home because of everything else they serve with the meal we were stuffed!!

... tonight! - and did I mention a RESTURANT! This roughing-it-across-country-in-a-little- airplane thing is really getting to be a challenge! The trend I see is small, municipal airports that encourage small airplanes to stop with cheap fuel and very friendly hospitality. They say it only gets better going west. So, I'm here in eastern Missouri, poised run the convective gauntlet (thunderstorms) between here and Ainsworth in NW Nebraska. Lots of time to watch the Weather Channel ...
... a few white fluffy clouds. Check out the pictures for the lake photos. We head back and have our first BBQ of the year! BBQs are not allowed at the condo where we live, so this is what we look forward to in the motorhome. Our first BBQ is homemade burger, potatoes roasted with onions on the BBQ and a mix of onions, peppers and mushrooms fried up in oil. Yum! Food just takes better out here!
Tomorrow we are off to Oklahoma for another couple of nights. Talk to you ...
We have really been enjoying these COE Parks - $12/night for full hookups is hard to beat! Just a couple days' stop here, catching up on laundry and shopping before we head for our friends' Gary & Kathy's house near St. Louis on Thursday.
... wet, miserable and tired. We were trying to find the hotel and the instructions were taking us round the houses. David shoots off the wrong way up the main road and I have no pace to follow. We are just metres away from the hotel so I carry on. Trouble is, David doesn't know which hotel we are in! All was resolved in the end but for a while he was "Not 'appy".
It's amazing ...
