Utah - we still think it is beautiful

Up early - we had plans to do a lot today and just as well because our day was certainly filled. First visit, Natural Bridges National Park - three main arches, well bridges actually, but they look just like an arch. The difference is in the way in which they are formed. Spent a wee while checking out the structures before heading to Glen Canyon. Wow factor here. The landscape is nothing short of spectacular. We ended up at Halls crossing which is where you catch the ferry across to Bullfrog....

We found Autumn!

... in the alpenglow.
Well, I'm afraid it's early to bed as tomorrow is another long day. Well, actually, we don't know how long tomorrow will be because we don't know which direction we're headed (well silly, of course we know how LONG tomorrow will be; we just don't know how much of it will be spent driving).Through St. George? Las Vegas? or do we stop at Lees Ferry on the Colorado for a little fishing?
Hmmmmmmmmm. How to decide?
The Best Laid Plans...

Well, we intended to spend two nights in Hills City, South Dakota but our plans had to change. It is kinda of funny that when we checked into the Holiday Inn Express in Hill City, they told us that they didn't have any rooms for two nights in a row. We had a beautiful King Suite last night. We even slept in late this morning because we had planned on just riding around the Black Hills and then trying to figure out another hotel for the second night...but this ...

Driving, bugs and Provo

Not gonna lie, today wasn't the best we have had so far. A lot of driving, a lot of city driving, and one stinky ass/nasty lake. I always wanted to see Salt Lake ,not necessarily the city, but the lake it self so we drove south today. We read in a few books that Antelope Island was a pretty cool place to go.... Yeah not so much! The Lake was pretty much the most nastiest place ever ...

Maple Mountain High School

A Long Day of Nothing But the Open Road

... set some ground rules for the bus trip! The most important one was this, "When we stop, go to the restroom! Don't say you don't want to get out because you don't need to go to the restroom. JUST DO IT! When I say "Happy Hour", that means that the restroom is ready for you." Hahaha. How nice of him to symbolize Happy Hour as the restroom to remove all that anxiety. Happy hour makes you feel good, and so does the restroom! It's a good thing that we stop every ...

Fifth Water Hot Springs

... Canyon there are some incredible hikes, this certainly compares to a few of them.

There are many different pools, many obviously altered by people but made better to enjoy. There are different temperatures, some warm, some hot, some REALLY hot. It was hot day so I preferred the cold water, which is the stream that goes by the pools and which the pools ...

St George, Utah

... southern Utah, and the temperature is HOT! It's been well over 100 degrees every day. Luckily our condo has excellent air conditioning! St George is a predominantly Mormon towm, there's loads of Latter Day Saint Churches, including a lovely looking Mormon temple. The town is really fast growing; in fact it's the second biggest growing place in the US. It's quite spread out, but got loads of shops, restaurants etc. It's also got a fab huge Barnes ...

Bryce Canyon

Another long drive, this time up to Bryce Canyon which was considerably chillier. Again the view from the rim was breath-taking. Probably even more impressive than the Grand Canyon because we didn't really know what to expect. We took a walk along the rim from Sunrise to Sunset Point, just soaking in the views of those hoodoos. The next day we took our ...
