    ... were a few remnants of Australia's Americas Cup win in 1983, which was pleasing, including an Australian milk bar, replete with hot pies and all.

    Otherwise Newport was quaint in the way of all New England towns and was similar to villages in the UK of the same vintage (Newport is celebrating its 375th birthday this year!).

    So the breakdown of New England;

    After the tour I hopped in the F subway and got off at W4th St and walked to Murray’s Cheese for lunch. I got a Murray’s Melt which is a grilled cheese with their special blend of cheeses. Since there is no place to eat there, I took the sandwich down the street (turn right as you exit the shop) to a park to eat there. Careful, this is a very melty, cheesy sandwich so beware ...
