... system, I was not in a convenient location and it took me nearly two hours to get to Long Beach. Once arriving in Long Beach, I took a walk the wrong way, which was towards the beach. The beach here is not bad. It is not too crowded and there is a wide sidewalk that has room for bicyclists going in both directions as well as pedestrians. Long Beach is a pretty cool little town that has all the things tourists ...

Sunday, we had coffee (I had hot chocolate), with Joel McCrary. He's an actor, writer, and director whose probably most known for his role as the Prime Minister of Genovia in The Princess Diaries. So far Ryan and I have been doing some beginning/ learn the ropes stuff, but in the future we'll be interacting with customers and answering problems they might have as well as learning all the other Steadicam equipment. The first day (Monday) was great and we did the usual first day stuff. Information overload, but it was fun. Thursday was dedicated entirely to learning the ins and ...

... Then at 7:45 a man with a microphone started talking. He asked how everyone was doing and the response from the crowd was a much more enthusiastic cheer than I would've expected come from the kind of crowd that would watch documentary short films. I started to notice that all the people in the crowd were somewhere between the ages 25-35. Again, not too alarming, but strange for a showing like this. Then the man with the mic continued talking, but ...
