We spent the night in the RV at Cheaha State Park in Talladega Alabama.
We arrived early enough to take some pics as we headed up the mountain.
Poor RV had a tough time getting up some of the hills. I think we were down to about 15 MPH on a few of the steeper ones. What happens when we get out west :(

By 9:00 am the temperature had climbed to the point where my sunburnt arm was hurting from the sun. We ...

... out of MS on I 22. The first half of the drive was SO easy. So easy that I was wondering if a disaster had hit the area and I was the only person left alive to drive the freeway. The traffic was waiting for me as I neared Birmingham. Even on a Saturday, getting through B and staying on I 22 was a bit of a challenge, and the roads were fairly bumpy. AL becomes more hilly as I head East, crossing numerous rivers and through Taladega National ...

... and under developed. It had real character with lots of cowboy boots, overalls, bars and awesome live music. We squeezed in a hockey game between the Nashville Predators and the Florida Panthers. One local I spoke to wouldn't believe me that in Australia we play hockey on foot not on ice.

We arrived at Talladega stocked with meat, bread, alcohol and powerades. We had tickets to camp on the infield and knew it was going to be crazy. On the ...
