We spent the night in the RV at Cheaha State Park in Talladega Alabama.

Poor RV had a tough time getting up some of the hills. I think we were down to about 15 MPH on a few of the steeper ones. What happens when we get out west :(

By 9:00 am the temperature had climbed to the point where my sunburnt arm was hurting from the sun. We ...

... 1938. The Parkway is also designated a National Scenic Byway and All-American Road -- a two lane road that winds among trees on either side. I stayed in an RV park just around the corner from the Visitor Center.

The roads in MS are fairly flat and straight (good for cruise control) with a mixture of pine and deciduous trees lining the roadway. Leaves were giving a last gasp of color (mostly brown).

... music. It is a city built on swamp and lowlands, its easy to see why hurricanes devastated the city. Many of the highways in and out of the city are raised on poles for miles which would be costly and even the old graves are above the ground in tombs because the ground was too low lying.

We said our goodbyes to Adam as he headed off to Canada and now we are on our way West to Colorado for some more outdoor fun!

      Hope everyone is well.
