He opened the tailgate of his truck and showed us a dozen or more 1X4 boards, all of equal length. He said he thought about Leon when he got them. Leon lit up and said he would be glad to have them. We unloaded them and stood them against a wall in the “Home Depot.” Who knows what they may turn into.

The chips cool slowly along a cooling unit that takes 20 minutes to gradually chill them to 50 degrees. This cooling process prevents the sugar from coming to the surface and making the chocolate have that white chalky look. (Not harmful, by the way, just looks unsightly.) ... took a back seat, pardon the pun, to the boring caution laps. Whatever happened to Marshall's and local yellows? Insurance companies and lawyers are spoiling it. No wonder the bleachers were largely empty. Maybe the Floridian equivalent of a deep freeze, 45F had something to do with it. Any way, a BMW won, following the pace car across the finish line, no way to end a race for anyone.
We did enjoy meeting up with friend and RSGC grad ...
