... because Elvis had dined there. He stopped the tram and told the driver where to take us, after giving us a local map, we were off. (The restaurant looks like it is still in the 50's but took us back in time!) I recall going through Tunica to see the infamous Sugar Ditch which was featured on 60 Minutes in the mid-1980s, although by the time of my last visit in 1989 things really had changed much. ... of The King's greatest hits. As I snapped a picture of Deanne kissing the Elvis clone I thought if Elvis could choose Mac or PC he would choose Mac, and not necessarily a big one. Back in the TV room, where "Speedway" was doing its victory lap, I thought if Elvis could shoot out one more TV set, the thing or the person he was really trying to destroy would be blown to smithereens. Maybe his doctor and his prescription pad; maybe Michael ...

... Presley recorded "That's alright, Mama". Disc jockey Dewey Philips, who would smash records he didn't like, played this song 14 times in a row on his show. Aside from Elvis, almost every other significant rock and roll, rockabilly, blues and country star recorded at Sun. Carl Perkins, Johnny Cash, BB King, Howling Wolf, Roy Orbison and Harmonica Frank passed through their doors.
