Our first stop in Memphis was Sun Studio, the birthplace of Rock n' Roll! We did not know what to expect so we were looking for a modern building. The studio is in the heart of the industrial area and the building is as it stood inside and out in the 1950s!

... in North Little Rock, not Little Rock. There is just a bit of a difference. We traveled over to Little Rock the same day and saw the Little Rock Central High School where the 15,000 National Guard soldiers had to escort nine young black kids into the school in 1957.
