      Finally Home

A travel blog entry by lindakhaas on Sep 29, 2014

I woke up between 4 and 5 and wrote blogs for over two hours. I had to do them in Word to post later because we didn't want to pay the 10 bucks for the Wifi. Then I got another hour's sleep before getting up at 9:15. While Larry showered I called the Vet and the Dentist to cancel appointments for today. We caught the 10:00 shuttle to the ...

We arrived at gate D8 and Erin arrived at D1 about 10 minutes after we did. We walked to the train and took it ...

Scott and I are now safely ensconced in the delightful rolling hills of Virginia, but prior to arriving here we stayed overnight in Columbus, Ohio for a quick stop at Country Living Magazine's "Country Living Fair", which I've enjoyed attending several times. It's billed as an event where patrons can "see the magazine come to life", and that's really true. ...

... the security area where you again queue to answer a whole lot of questions from US Homeland Security. That was another 30 minute wait. Only then can you check your bags. But wait, there's more. You then get in yet another queue to go through the screening process for your carry-on stuff. That involved taking the Ipad out of the bag and taking your belt and shoes off. The only thing I still had on was my ******* undies !

Obviously the airport idiots thought I ...
