We were more educated today, and instead of taking the long walk from the visitor center to the village, we hopped the bus and saved our legs for more wandering inside the historic area. Most of the day we wandered around in misty rain, sometimes popping open the umbrella, but most of the time just getting a bit damp and dealing with it. ... of how much I have missed the presence of water in my home city. Brisbane used to have a number of fountains but alas, no more. In both Dallas and Norfolk, it has been very hot. Shady glades with running water have an amazing capacity to soothe and restore and both of these cities have had these in abundance. I hope that one day, fountains will return to our Brisbane.

The weekend was spent packing. A master list of items was created and checked off as we packed. Last minute shopping is complete. Very excited to take this trip with our best friends Eddie and Harriett ( the Z's). Mary and I (the P's).
