... ourselves, the prominent "Pictured Rocks" in all their Glory..
the images were reminiscent of a painter's work..
and as we slowly cruised past these massive rock walls, i felt jarringly small..

"Painted Coves" & "Caves Of All Colors" are aptly named..the vast sandstone walls ...

We arrived this evening and checked into our really nice hotel. We then went back out to see if the visitor center was still open. It wasn't, so we went to check out a lighthouse, an old furnace at the Hiawatha National Forest, and a small town called Christmas. It was an enjoyable evening that ended with free pancakes at our hotel. ...

While driving yesterday we killed our first bird via the camper windshield just before we cross the Mackinaw Bridge. The bridge is 5 miles long and was under construction. When we got to the other side we stopped at a little pull off to watch the sunset. It was still light for about another 3 hours. It seems like the sun never sets up ...
