Time is getting close for our travels to Italy. We are excited; our adventures will include: Rome, Naples, Sorrento, Pompeii, Florence, Tuscany, Pisa, Venice, Milan and the Italian and Swiss Alps.


Plane and train tickets have been purchased a well as tickets to several historical sights - Vatican, Academy of the Arts (David) and Uffizi Gallery.

Now we have an idea of where we're going and where we're stopping on the way to Oregon. The host club is enlisting the aid of AAA to plan the trip. They will negotiate reduced prices at motels and determine which towns to stop in for the nite. Great! Let someone else do that chore! Distances will average about 350 miles +or- daily. Seems pretty easy to me, but then I'm used to 600 to 700+ per day.

At the time of our initial planning we were living in New Braunfels, TX and we were the proud custodian of our 1974 blue MGB roadster (Maggie).
