Miles 120 Total Driving Miles 7,688

Parked on a beautiful five acre estate to visit Gil and Pat. Gil is a friend from pilot training.

    Will add some photos later.

We saw a couple of trains take off with happy-looking tourists on board, and we watched ...

... Much of the original structure remains and has been restored to once again be the largest California mission church and the only one with three aisles. It was named for John the Baptist. Musical arts were taught here and the mission owned many instruments, which the Indians readily took to. Father Tapis developed a colored musical notation system and taught ...

... allow bikes!!! so it was on to Monterey via freeway and lunch in the upmarket towns Cannery row.
Then onto Santa Cruz escaping the freeway where possible as the wind was still strong

The hotel was opposite the jetty so strolled out and found a bar with a $6.00 margarita and Taco deal. so Tony needed 2 tacos and had to get another drink.
