    ... Alabama Town. This is located within a couple of blocks in the downtown area and we opted to take the self-guided tour rather than wait another half hour for a docent. I can’t see that we would have gained much with a guide because each building had a description or someone inside to give you information. They had told us when we registered the guided tour would take about 2 hours, and guess what? The self-guided one ...

    ... or glasses of wine we could drink at the managers hotel reception, this now became just another nice holiday memory, what happened this morning will be indelibly ingrained for ever.     This place was somewhere I don't think you could have enough of, it had everything we could have wanted except the rain, but that was just bad luck. The people were so laid back, the vibe was so relaxed, the place full of characters and the locals straight off of a movie set. If deep south USA is your call, we think this will beat New Orleans.
