    Today we are being picked up by a limo to travel to Detroit Metro Airport to start our journey that Braedan has been dreaming for. We will be heading from Detroit to Atlanta and then on to South Africa we go. From Atlanta, we will be heading to Johannesburg for a quick stop and then we should arrive in Cape Town tomorrow night to get this adventure really started!     ... was pretty uneventful, with endless miles of trees and fields. We stopped just before we crossed into Ohio for a bit of lunch, eating the left over pizza we had. Got in to our motel around 2 and were going to watch the race, but it’s not on TV here, so Dan dropped me off at a quilt shop while he went to Andersons.     We decided to try for a Passport America campground despite the discount not being an option -- it is a nice family type campground which looks like it would be popular in the summer with lots for families. It is busy enough being the start of a weekend. When we checked in there was no Passport America discount but they did give the Good Sam discount.

    Friday morning was a very fogging morning. I couldn't see the lake. It was good I had gotten all my photos the evening before.

    I headed for Michigan. It was a nice road but nothing of interest to photograph. I arrived at Marquette the home of Northern Michigan University. The city was a typical college town.
