... to the Mississippi River at a park.

When we arrived, there was a marching band practicing in a parking lot we all had to drive through. The director simply had the band march out of the way of oncoming trucks and motorhomes as we pulled up. The kids kept playing and we kept driving. It felt very surreal.

... was right on the water but also had a lovely grassy backyard. We were joined by Sarah, Evan, Rebecca and Graham so had a house full of kids, lots of croquet, knitting, campfires and special places ( Treasure Island). ... we could have stayed another day to visit with them a bit more. Left on Friday morning, driving in a window of good weather to get home before it rained. ... We ate at the cafe which overlooked their rainforest exhibit. It took us an hour and a half to go through the first exhibit. After lunch we went through the indoor rainforest exhibit which was amazing. It took us about 45 minutes to do the upper level of the rainforest but Matthew wasn't feeling well.
