I started this journey from home at 10:15 am, being picked up by the Act II shuttle. After picking up another traveler, we headed for O'Hare airport, arriving about 2:30 pm. That trip and check-in were uneventful. Since my flight wasn't scheduled to leave until 6:20, I walked the concourses for a while, had a snack, then ...

We've turned back across the Mississippi to Hampton, Illinois to spend the night at a delightful county-supported recreational facility. Our plan was to cross at Detroit, but as we approached London, we made a last minute decision to cross in Sarnia (not wanting to cross into Detroit at rush hour). We arrived at the Sarnia/Port Huron border around 5 pm, and were told we had a “hot” vehicle. Krista and I assumed that was a description of the passengers inside, ...

Four Cities for the Price of One

... and Davenport and Bettendorf in Iowa. All the cities are riverfront cities on the Mississippi River. We visited all four cities.

In Davenport we visited The Palmer College of Chiropractic. There was a museum set up on several floors of the main building that told the history of Chiropractic practice. It actually goes back thousands of years. Daniel David Palmer was the founder of Chiropractic and began teaching it in 1895. Over the first ...
