... is slightly smaller than a ostrich with colourful markings around its neck and is capable of killing a human using it's claws. We really wanted to see one but it wasn't to be. ... go to a funeral and wouldn't be home until the afternoon so we weren't in any rush to get there. Tully was only about 2 hours away so we just took our time. We had a picnic lunch at Bingil Bay and then set out on our second walk to Lacey Creek, again through rainforest, still no cassowary sightings but we did see fish and a turtle and another million mozzies - they are very friendly around Mission Beach.
