        ... Minnie loved the bridge, probably because it was easy on her feet. She raced and ran like she was on a beach. I’ve realized we can’t go walking in the grass just anywhere because there are ‘stickers’ (sand burrs) everywhere; little, hard spiky balls that get caught between her toes, and they hurt!

        Back in Oklahoma for a night while we waited for more storms to come along. We checked out Salt Plains National Wildlife Refuge, it was really beautiful but they were in terrible drought so many of the migratory birds didn't come in this year.
