... savings of not having to stay at a motel or eating out in restaurants it's not so bad. Jan has a new "scrubby-thing" on a stick that she's going to use on the windshield. It just drank a quarter of a big bottle of Dawn. Can't wait to see if it actually works because we wiped out a large percentage of the flying insects between North Carolina and here today. So far she has soap all over the ground and herself. Not sure if the windshield is deriving any benefit. Will keep you ...

I have no idea why it is called Valley Forge. The park has a surrounding feature that I think fits as a better description: Mount Misery. After making it up about 3-5 miles of hills, we ran into none other than Tim, the Godfather, Potopa. Provided with a nice lunch and the kindness of the staff who gave us the tip to put ice in our water bottles, I felt much more inclined to tackle the day's adventures.

    Thanks Tim!!!

... you two interesting things about Hershey. The first being the Amish community that exists in nearby Lancaster and surrounds. It baffles me that they accommodate tourists coming through in so many ways, but maybe by providing these facilitated activities (bake shops, quilt stores, buggy rides, farm visits) it stops tourists from charging through the backroads into private places we’re not welcome .
