      Michigan City is pretty much a summer tourist area on the Indiana shores of Lake Michigan.  Another of its claims to fame is that it is kind of close to Chicago, so there is predictably quite a few hotels and fast food places right along the interstate.  We stayed there for the Notre Dame game because it was about 45 minutes from South Bend, and the hotel cost 1/2 to 1/3 of what the hotels were going for in South Bend on ...

      ... is like San Francisco in that it quickly changes. It was about 75 degrees and I was sweating prior to entering the Museum of Contemporary Art.
