The trip to the Antarctic Peninsula, a glimpse of Antarctica, was a successful trip. Despite the lacklustre weather, we managed to get off the boat 9 out of a possible 9 stops and out kayaking 6 of those times. We saw the 3 penguins of the region and plenty of humpbacks, albeit no orcas but that gives me reason to keep searching for my childhood animal.

On the drive I also saw Burleigh Heads, so beautiful. It's much less touristy and is the best spot for surfing (or so I'm told).
