        ... River. We took all the dogs with us so we take them all on the hike to the cache which is 0.3 mile from where we parked. Sue has already found this so I lead the way and soon am picking my way through cockle burrs and mosquitoes to a brushy area near the river.         I landed at Belmond, IA ( Y48) grass strip around 10:30 am and buddy Gary met me shortly after. The strip is this well kept stretch of turf set in the middle of endless corn fields. Thank you, GPS! Because there is no way to distinguish green grass airfields from green corn from up a few thousand feet.
