Day 10 - Sunday
... had some lunch back at the picnic area. This also gave the kids a chance to burn some energy chasing each other and the resident bush turkeys.
Once lunch was over and done with, we decided to head out to the dam which as another 23km’s away most of which was dirt road. The dam itself was smaller than we thought but looked like it would be a great place to camp. Kind of reminded us of Sommerset dam only it wasn’t as big. ...

With the sun shining it was awesome, Maddison and I layed out some blankets and pegged up some shade across our chairs, we had a lovely day having a picnic, playing with toys and reading books while Darren caught us............ Our home for about 6 weeks
... up to Eungella to visit Donna and Peter Philips at their holiday unit. The weather wasn't the best - but the waterfalls were running really well because of the rain. When we arrived we all went for a bush walk and then picked wild raspberries. This was a lot of fun until we realised later on that we had all been leeched. This was my first time and was a bit freaky.
Steve finished his work with Sharps on Tuesday 17th and we left Mackay on the 18th to head up to Townsville
