Today has been a good day. Spent a full day at Sovereign Hill, a living history museum of a gold mining town in the 1850s when gold was discovered in Ballarat. Brilliant day as there was loads to do and the people working there were really interesting and knowledgeable. ... ca. 2km² nachgebaut im Stile der damaligen Zeit. Sogar all die Menschen, die dort arbeiten, sind in dem Stil eingekleidet und gehen dort ihren täglichen Tätigkeiten nach. Man kann dort einen ganzen Tag verbringen und verschiedenen Aktivitäten oder Touren mitmachen oder Demonstrationen ansehen. Man bekommt am Eingang einen Übersicht über alle Zeiten und Aktivitäten und kann dann selber nach Interesse auswählen. Somit haben wir dort gesehen, wie eine Armee ...

... Weiter durch den Park zurück and der Spring Street entlang. Am schönen alten Windsor Hotel vorbeit, wo man angeblich zum 5 o'clock Tee hingehen sollte. Dann am Parliament vorbei. Nicht so aufregend. Ich mußte nur daran denken daß man dort zur sprotlichen Betätigung die Stufen rauf und runter rennen könnte. Vor dem City Museum (auch wieder schönes Schild) bin ich dann in die Circle Tram gestiegen mit der man umsonst um den Stadtkern fahren kann, um dann zu meine S-Bahn nach Hause zu gelangen.
