312 Main Road Ballarat, Victoria, Australia, 3350, (61)-3-5331-7533
Okay so a bright and early start for us today as we were off to go back in time. We realised that we spent an extra day in Melbourne. So we had two choices - 1:- just push everything back a day & spend one day less in Adelaide or 2:- just drive straight through from Ballarat to Murray Bridge. We chose option 2 as it was easier to cancel just one accommodation booking than push all accommodation back. So with that sorted we carried on to Ballarat & Sovereign Hill. It took approx 1 & half hours...

... think our luck had run out and we looked out our waterproof coats, but when it was time to leave for the evening show it had gone off, and the stars had come out. Very cold though. Not what we’d expected of Australia when we left home.

The show was good, and we looked forward to seeing the setup in daylight, As it turned out next day, we couldn’t figure out where we had been. Very clever.
Ballarat, Victoria, Australia hughieanddoris... in the 1850s style bowling alley, watch a gold pour where they melt down the gold to get rid of its impurities and then go on an under ground mine tour to see how the miners would have worked. We had a fun afternoon and left at closing time feeling pretty tired. The next morning we went to the Gold Museum beside Sovereign Hill. We saw how gold forms in the earth and learned its importance/influence throughout history. By noon we were back on the road to Melbourne.

Ballarat, Australia keenosG'Day, Its the tenth of April; This mourning was a very disturbing mourning. I woke up and woke up in thought. Thoughts about my past experiences in life... self reflection.(A theme I seemed to have picked up since I got here.) I finally get up after 2 hours of a pure thought line and get some breky . I ate Milo cereal with powdered milk and a orange. I then walked over to accounts to get change for laundry. I walk in and see Maureen... I ask her if I can donate ...
Mailing Rd., Australia carolinesheart... a very interactive sort of Bingo with 2 hosts (dressed in Bogan attire) and several audience members in full costume (flannel shirts, bleached 80's jeans, flurescent work shirts). Each number that was called out had an expression or song attached to it (For ex. the host would call out "sweet 16" and then say "never been kissed"...the audience then responded "pigs ass" (pigs ass=what a lie) or any number ending in 1 the ...
Melbourne, Australia avedawg314... you know the kind where you can move the mouth from the other end of the stick? Very scary), but decided against it.
Melbourne, Australia rootaberger... out to bus drivers but it was free so we got it for $40 and breakfast, but we were up early anyway! We drove the rest of the great ocean road stopping many times to view the 12 Apostles, loch and gorge, blow hole, thunder cave, broken head, the arches (1 fallen down now), razorback and bay of Martyrs all on the coastal road and amazing scenery! It got a bit late again and we ended up stayin at a motel in a place with a pub and fuel stop only called policemans ...
Melbourne, Australia heliwalker... beer.....it tasted suspiciously like export gold...Moonlight cinema is held in the Botanical gardens and it is on everynight over the summer. We are planning a few more outings there in the not so distant future. The movie was pretty average, but the company was good, location was great and the lollies were a treat.Oh I nearly forgot to mention our Christmas tree, or our attempt to make our flat feel xmasy...We have cut it out of green wrapping paper and bluetacked it to the ...
Melbourne, Australia lillireneeWhilst at the asparagus farm we took a two week holiday to catch up with Steve's parents on the Melbourne leg of their 'Big Adventure'. We left the Donkey at Melbourne airport and started a well deserved holiday. We spent the first few nights in the Yarra Vally (Where Paul Robinson and Lynn just tied the knot in Neighbours) We had a beautiful three bedroom fully self contained cottage, with a hot tub to relax in in the afternoons. The Cottage was ...
