    ... it is still dark out when we head out. must be getting further north! It is nice to drive with the tops down in the morning as the heat of the day has not set in yet... and the sunrise is amazing!!! A beautiful sight as we head north out of Texas and into New Mexico.... another State off the list.

    If I had to pick a State I would live in ... outside of California or Oregon that is ( surf people!! surf!!)

    ... DC. Dressed like Eskimos, we about passed out waiting for the jetway after our landing. Although the flight was 20 minutes early, someone forgot to tell the ground crew, so we spent about 20 minutes waiting for a new gate and jetway. So much for getting here early. We'll be hanging in Dulles for four more hours. Our flight leaves just after 10, and we don't arrive in Dublin until 9:30am. I'm not much for sleeping on airplanes, so tomorrow could be a long day. ...

    After checking in with Lynnie and getting Sooby hooked up and all, I got out of the Eagle River country about eight-thirty. I backtracked to Vail and then began a seriously, serious climb.
