After checking in with Lynnie and getting Sooby hooked up and all, I got out of the Eagle River country about eight-thirty. I backtracked to Vail and then began a seriously, serious climb. Not much flat ground in this country, I reckon. I crested Vail Pass at 10,603 feet. I’ve enjoyed writing a daily blog. It helped keep a good record of our trip and organize photos daily. We plan to take this blog and turn it into a book for ourselves. In the next week I’ll finish up with a couple of last posts as we reflect back on our trip.
