The water here was extremely muddy and full of logs and limbs. Someone has to man the lookout for trash in the water while someone guides the tiller and two men handle the buckets.

They gassed and iced up and then bid farewell to Demopolis and headed up the Tombigbee River .

... attached! Last night Fred had finagled us a ride from Ricky back in to the other side of Demopolis. We're a little sore from yesterday's long ride so the shorter our ride today is, the better. The Southern Hospitality never ends. As we got close to Demopolis we saw some art in the fields which was a welcome, way-cool distraction and very unique.
