Zum Glück haben wir im Motelzimmer übernachtet, dass war wohl ein Wink des Schicksals. Denn die Innentemperatur im Camper zeigte -2 Grad an.

Heute fuhren am St. Lorenz-Strom entlang nach Levis. Am Abend gönnten wir uns ein feines Schweizer Käsefondue. Mahlzeit!

We depart mid afternoon to Toronto and catch a delayed connection to Quebec City to arrive very late Thursday evening. Our stay is at a the Hotel Chateau Laurier, a mid range full service hotel adjacent to the Military Armoury. The room is small but the price is just right. There is a St Hubert Chicken in the Hotel - this place also serves breakfast.

... September 22 – To Quebec City... The drive to Quebec City was uneventful and we were on the Pierre-Laporte Bridge crossing the St Lawrence River before noon. From then on it was every man for himself as we weaved and dodged our way through the madness that is Quebec City traffic, eventually arriving at Le Dauphine Hotel just off Highway 40.

Standing arguing with a recalcitrant taxi driver at the roadside of the busy Boulevard St Joseph in the cold dark of an early February evening with the wind flurrying the light snowfall was not being a good start to our first ever ski marathon.

... The day after we left Kemptville, Carie's father was admitted to hospital once again - fortunately for only a few days. We spent a month with Drew and Courtney who, by the way, is our new daughter-in-law-in-training. They became engaged about July 5th.
