... us to dive into the most impressive spread of food I have ever seen. My first taste of homemade pumpkin pie, wow!
We drank beers, played cards then headed home to drink more beers!

It was great to see both Adam & Laura again, and to meet more top people like Nick & Allison was brilliant. Oh and Nick and Allison gain extra points for naming their extremely cute kitten Bruce Campbell after the amazing b-movie actor.
Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada swaffI didn't realize how long it has been since I last posted! I think that I mentioned in the last post that I was going for more x-rays. It turned out that in addition to breaking both bones in my left wrist, I had cracked the ulna in my right arm - both arms were in essence out of commission! With some help with evening meals from the Walter family, I managed and Don didn't miss a beat! The first ...
Welling, Alberta, Canada momaduncRiding in Glacier National Park can't be beaten except for the construction. Mind you the benefit was being stopped on some of the highest vistas of the park for more photo ops. The three stops made the ride very long but the weather was perfect and you could chat with the other poor souls trapped in the traffic jams as they waited to roll through loose gravel.
Fort Macleod, Alberta, Canada visionriderBy early afternoon today the landscape in the vicinity of the the motor home changed dramatically. After several days of repairs and replacment of parts (Don spent 2-3 days doing nothing but replacing knives on headers), the combines started to roll today. There was a general sigh of relief as this group gets very jittery during down time. Even Don was ready and raring to go by ...
Welling, Alberta, Canada momadunc... back into Alberta. Our trip to Lethbridge and excursion into the fields, where they were finishing spring planting and we met Ben, paid off.

In preparation for the possibility of being successful in this quest, we have been getting service on the coach and have removed a couch in order to install a desk to better accommodate our needs. I'll be glad when we can settle into a ...
Welling, Alberta, Canada momaduncMy aunt and uncle have just moved to Okotoks, about 20km south of Calgary. I was keen to see the new place, so my aunt picked me up after work on Friday and we headed out there. It's a sleepy kind of town, so it was really nice to be somewhere without having to listen to the traffic, techno music and the local drunks stumbling around the street. The house has a nice view out to the hills and we ...
Milk River, Alberta, Canada alexiapepMy little supermarket and the road under the snow Aujourd'hui, neige toute la matinée, donc pas de trapping aujourd'hui.
Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada alexiapep... bucking terrifyingly close to them. Some limped away; others sauntered off with the satisfied look of a job well done. We were surprised that none were actually carried off - they obviously breed them tough out here! I did feel a little squeamish as I caught sight of said steers being "agitated" in various ways before they shot out of the stalls like bullets released from an uncomfortable barrel. It was strange too, how the ...
