... the 25th year of the German reunification (1989). They were expecting thousands of people in Frankfurt and we actually ( on Saturday night) watched the major event on the TV. Dinner was at a very small local eatery where we had pork and potatoes ( of course) and wine. We sat at long wooden table with benches..family style. A neighborhood German place full of locals and fun to experience. We returned "home" and settled down for the night.
... that were similar. I came to realize~ after they left~ that the words didn't matter one bit it was the love extended to each other that spoke volumes. Four great encounters~ Four great take aways from my Camino.

This great happening makes everyone feel good every year. It's something that reflects so much of what is good about Knoxville. It puts the city in a great light. Many communities can only dream about having something in their town that does so much for everyone involved.

had been working shift work so we hadn't met him the day before. I
made sausage rolls to add to dinner which everyone seemed to like and
