Today the journey began! My mom and I drove to Kansas City in order for me to board my flight early tomorrow morning. It took a while to get going because I kept remembering last minute things, and even when we got to Kansas City we had to make several emergency supply stops because apparently I forgot to pack my brain (my mom was thrilled about this). However, all worked out and we ended up getting to ...

... we will be doing over the next 13 days.

Also, once I get home from this trip, I will have to finish out my Guatemala blog. It was a CRAZY 5 days that I had between my trips. I had 5 cheer practices, 4 job interviews, 2 photography sessions, lots of laundry, 1 job acceptance and a ton of time with my family before heading out on trip number 2. :)

    "That will be $225 please"
    and my last Hepetitis shot.

    "That will be $175 please"
    and will be my visa.

    So, on and on...it goes.

It has become clear to me, money has wings.

Oh my gosh.....getting it all together will be a miracle.

But, I took a breather and enjoyed the beauty of a cheerful sunflower today.

... It was a really pretty cycle. The morning dew made the landscape appear extra green and crisp. The air was fresh—far fresher than any Perth air I would breathe. Exiting the bike route, I cycled past Don, Sue, Doug, Pam and Jordan (she had finished her swim) who were on the sidelines cheering me on. Owen and Bill were at my transition station taking photos and yelling: 'You killed it! Woooo!' The request for 'look at the camera now, Hays' didn't ...
