After a pretty good night's rest (although the morning started early - ish around 5am) it has been a fun and lazy day hanging about with Len and Peta.
The early morning was soft, gentle rain and it was magic to hear my favourite bird, the kookaburra, laughing as the sun came up. I will yet get a video so you can hear these foolish creatures laugh (they are lovingly called laughing jackasses by the Aussies).
We get up and head for Newcastle, but didn't stay long. The rain is ridiculous. Big heavy rain, everywhere is flooding, and it did not stop all day. Very depressing. We couldn't get out of the camper van or enjoy any sightseeing. ... eight and the poor thing was very husky by the end of the flight. Don't know what was going on there but thank goodness for headphones! The food was exactly the same as the previous flight so we had our omelettes again for lunch that we had had for breakfast! ... visiting. From Libby's we made our way to the President's lookout which gave us a superb view of Brisbane Waters which seem to be a collection of several harbour areas leading out to the Pacific Ocean in one direction and going in to the Hawkesbury River in the other.

Twenty days into the holiday and we are honoured to have a second relaxing day on the trot.
