... a bit but the next morning we had to head back to LA because we were due in La Mesa, CA on Tuesday afternoon. Our plans were to visit my friends Sharon & Linda near San Diego and I knew they would be looking for us around 1 pm. Didn't happen. We called and worked out a different ETA and everything worked out OK.

We knew the date that we were flying to our potential new home in the USVI, since we bought our one way tickets while we were in Japan. That gave us some time to just enjoy being in San Diego before settling down for good. We checked out a ton of micro breweries and explored our potential next path in life.
... much is left of the original buildings but "La Casa de Estudillo" is still there and it is very well presented. Very enjoyable.
Late in the afternoon we went back to the Balboa Park area to see the wonderful buildings there. Most are Museums. Watched some Mexicans singing for a while. Great !! After dinner we took a drive over the Coronado Bridge to Coronardo to get a great view of the skyline by night. Drove arounf Gas Town Qtr as well.

Finally, the moment we’d been waiting for arrived, and the crew from Firefly ran on stage to ridiculous amounts of applause and more tears than a Japanese screening of Titanic.
