On Monday we went to San Diego Zoo. We had both been looking forward to this since we got here. It definitely did not disappoint. Kirsty had looked up all the shows and attractions so we had an itinerary so we didn't miss anything. We walked up to the zoo and got there nice and early. First thing was the tour bus which gave us some background and let us see where everything was. The place is massive. We soon see that we will not make each show because of the time it takes ...

... and over another hour passed until it arrived and we were, at last, just a tyre torturing manoeuvre away from freedom!

The shipping company in Vancouver was Beacon International Despatch Ltd, in case anyone is thinking of using them.

On the other hand, Phoenix Cargo is the sort of company we would and probably will use again and we are thankful to Terry Pittaway in particular for his valuable assistance. His contact address is ...

So it has been a couple of days since I've entered anything in the blog - well because we were very busy. Claudia & Tom threw a little "open house" party for LA friends on Sunday. It was so much fun to see everyone and catch up on their lives. We thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon and evening with Claudia & Tom (our host and hostess); Adrienne Albert and her little dog, Dodger; Genevieve Silberman; Meg Sullivan & Steve Roe; Linda Deutsch; Jack & Carolyn ...
