... a huge park in the middle of San Diego and has lots of different museums and cafés dotted around it. After a Panda Express lunch sunset at the beach seemed like a good idea so we played frisbee there for a little while before going back to the campsite. As soon as we got back to the campsite we decided to head back out to a local mall because it's not the best campsite. We ended up in Applebee's which is a restaurant chain and just had a few drinks and some sharer ...

The evening got pretty messy after that. We even met a Mormon guy who'd been on a real life mission to Africa! ...

We had a lovely morning before we flew to Las Vegas visiting the coast and seeing the seals. We then got to see Cami and James' school and meet their friends. Pete and I then caught the plane to Las Vegas and had a fabulous time while the kids bonded with their cousins. Las Vegas - Pete and I maximised every minute we were in the city that never sleeps. We went to a great French Steakhouse the first night and discovered a fun piano bar and live music and enjoyed the fun crazy atmosphere ...

... we found a proper food supermarket and took a feast of sushi back to our room.

after a rest we ended the evening in the swimming pool and the spa pool.

today we're going to explore balboa park. there are a couple of interesting museums dedicated to space exploration and aviation. the aircraft carrier uss midway is here in the harbour so we might take a look onboard and, if i can push my luck, the maritime ...
