... of Red Tide. We got out and walked the beach and found about 8 sand dollars and some other nice shells, but we all started to notice coughing, sore throats and other weird symptoms and now it appears. Red Tide is not only toxic to fish and other animals but can make humans ill as well and even toxic if ingested in the form of fish and or shell fish. Saw many different types of fish though. Among the dead fish were a puffer ...
Corpus Christi, Texas, United States kayaker902Meghan and I were able to shoot the 300 Mag. in this afternoon. We were not able to find and Elk life size target for practice, but had to settle for this Whitetail Deer. She shot this target and scored in the Harvest Zone from 100, 200, 250 & 300 Yards.
All we need now is the Elk to walk out in front of her once we are hunting.
... with my little girl, and hopefully we will have some
life long memories. I hope my Iphone works while we are hunting the Routt National Forest.
Up to date hunting and trip photos would be nice for everyone to enjoy. I will keep everyone posted.
... cash are the way to go. I had both my card and my husband's so could draw out twice the daily limit. Since the last trip our local bank has begun to charge $1 per foreign withdrawal but that was an $11 I could spare for the convenience. Using the credit card would have meant that I paid 3% extra to MasterCard and the vendor/B&B host paid a fee also.
I was happy that I had spared the brass for an automatic transmission. Every other trip ...
Huge rainstorm last night so we decided to stay a day here and clean up (Katy really needs a shower). Weather is very nice spring and this place is full of birds. Maybe we will get a couple photos. Yes we are back in the USA.The roads are repaired, no topes, stores have everything we need or want, campgrounds are very neat ...

Car papers, too. While awaiting Pete's car papers to come forth, we spent time preparing our lunch at the chuck wagon and began getting to know each other. One of the vehicles had joined us at the border because they were frequent travelers to Mexico and lived in Falfurrias, very close to the border crossing. We quickly discovered that ...
Kingsville, Texas, United States folkmusictrekke... who live in Austin (Kay and Bill) who had arrangements to stay at the military base in Kingsville. I assisted their efforts by driving Kay to the base where she made the final reservations for her, Bill and two others from the Austin area (Rosemary and Mary coming in Rosemary's Mitsubish a bit later) to spend the night there. Be forewarned, when entering a base in these days of heightened security precautions, a simple wave through ...
Kingsville, Texas, United States folkmusictrekke... San Antonio is a gorgeous place. I recommend it! I parked a block away from the Alamo. The Alamo itself looks just like you think it would, but it is surrounded by very pleasant gardens and the cavalry yard is where the guide gives a little speech about the background information, etc. What I never knew about the Alamo is that it is right downtown-in fact, San Antonio is formed around it. The Alamo Plaza is a tourist hotspot and even a place for locals to hang out ...
San Antonio, Ft. Stockton, Texas, United States katiewest... in the midst of making breakfast, so he said he'd see us later. While we were eating, Ted the tail gunner, came by to check out our rig. Doug assisted him and showed him where things were. Jack said that we were to go to a meeting at 10 am, so we went and got our final itinerary and exchanged info with the wives of the wagonmasters and tailgunner. Last night we discovered that we had forgotton some very important ...
Hidalgo,, Texas, United States dugnjulie... No, every drink was $0.50 - 33pence at the time, wow. Well for anyone who knows me - I was like a kid in a candy store. No measures for the vodka and they were just saying say when, amazing, needless to say I was gassed, don't remember getting home, threw up in the hood of the Camero on the way home (sorry Najeeb), but all in all a great night. Right now off to Dallas.
