... if Rick had gotten out and jogged ahead with his headlamp reversed to act as a guide. See the photo we took at the highest point on the parkway to get a sense of the visibility.

It was long and tedious (just like this entry) but we did finally complete our journey. We left the BRP at Cherokee, NC. And, as we were now down in the valleys instead of the ridge lines, we left the fog behind too.

We had a good couple hours to wander around downtown Chattanooga. We went into ...

Arrived into Atlanta a few mins late but nothing too bad.
We were out of customs & immigration by about 9.20pm (US time - we are now 5hrs behind the UK) so not too bad really. Think there are around 30 of us in the group. Have chatted to a few people, funnily enough several of them have also done the Coast to Coast tour so there is already some common ground.

We are currently sat on our bus to Chattanooga, I feel both shattered but think the excitement of actually ...

... I was sandwiched between 2 people who were smoking! Steve sat next to me so at least I only had one woman blowing smoke over me! The woman was talking to a guy who I assumed she was with, but soon realised wasn't, when he made a quick get away! Now I should have realised that in Oz time it was Sunday and that means market, and market means dysfunctionals! And boy was she was one! I did feel sorry for her but I did not need to hear her ...
