Today we went to the University of Oregon to check out the Autzen Stadium where they play football. We also got to go in the Casanova Center Athletic Complex and saw all the trophys. What a beautiful building. Looked inside there practice field house and enjoyed our visit.

... Longview in the grand tradition of small towns has found their niche with squirrel bridges. Seriously tree suspension bridges made so the squirrels can cross the street overhead without being run over . The kids were amused by these bridges. We also were able to visit my cousin Jenny's apartment. It is amazing to see how well she is doing on her own. (She has Downs Syndrome) She works at Papa Murphy''s, volunteers at an elementary school and lives with on her ...
... Basin National Grassland's and wind my way to the east entrance of Yellowstone National Park and out the west entrance up to Butte and Missoula, MT. ... in the rain. All of Oregon, although rainy, is beautiful in the fall and painted with autumn colors. We had the opportunity to spend an afternoon downtown in the coffee shop Donna used to own! We greatly enjoyed our coffee and got the time to mingle with some of the friendly locals. After four well fed, cozy, rainy days in Clatskanie we headed back to Seattle to finish where we left off!
Drove north on I-5 through Oregon's valley farmlands.
Traffic jam going though Portland before the draw bridge; should have taken the bypass
Spectacular view of Columbia River and Mt. Hood.
Occasional views of Mt Saint Helens in Washington

Arrived for a one night stay. Receptionist was pleasant and checked us in promptly. Room was excellent and very clean. Hotel is located right behind a shopping mall so that could be convenient for some people.
Receptionist gave us directions to several restaurants. Would stay here again as the hotel is very clean and bed comfortable.
