Arrived for a one night stay. Receptionist was pleasant and checked us in promptly. Room was excellent and very clean. Hotel is located right behind a shopping mall so that could be convenient for some people.
Receptionist gave us directions to several restaurants. Would stay here again as the hotel is very clean and bed comfortable.

... was part of a advertisement.

As we reached the coast our first goal was Cannon Beach and Haystack Rock. We actually were able to walk on to the beach a little south of Cannon Beach. Although it was sunny, the air was chilly so we saw no one in the water. I,however, had to put my foot in the Pacific Ocean. Unfortunately the wave came in a little farther than I expected and the foot with the shoe still on it ...

... thought ALM would enjoy seeing Bigfoot. Dad got a tee shirt that says "Bigfoot doesn't believe in you either." We arrived at the Silverlake Mount St. Helens Visitor's Center and watched a movie and took a self guided tour at the center. I learned so much geology today I think my brain hurts. Studying an historic event that happened in your lifetime, is such a déjà vu, yet there is so much you don't know about ...

... much more difficult time with it because they jump from guitarist to guitarist, and vice versa. They have to get those crazy artistic shots that I am not yet familiar with getting. Unfortunately, I do have to listen to the director of videography gripe at the camera operators over our headsets. It was challenging but didn't take away from the experience.

Anyways, it is late and I need to get some sleep before starting again tomorrow.

... use of the detour to go for a walk into the Magical Woods, this was an incredible idea, it was such an interesting temperate forest with all the moss hanging out the trees, eventually we broke through the trees onto a River which was definitely making the best of a bad situation.

Afterwards we carried on down and got to the campsite at Beaver Bay 2 hours later than planned, luckily there were still spots left so we set up camp and ...

Rolled into the driveway yesterday around 1900. The trip is over too soon, and now it looks like I may not be going out to work until next week. Damn, I could have spent more time with family and friends. 3 weeks is not enough time for that type of trip so the next one will stay closer to home. Maybe just Oregon and Washington, there are still a ton of quality roads to ride that I haven't seen yet in these two ...
