Arrived for a one night stay. Receptionist was pleasant and checked us in promptly. Room was excellent and very clean. Hotel is located right behind a shopping mall so that could be convenient for some people.
Receptionist gave us directions to several restaurants. Would stay here again as the hotel is very clean and bed comfortable.

Unfortunately the wave came in a little farther than I expected and the foot with the shoe still on it ...

The earthquakes started on March 24, 1980 and the big eruption was May 18, 1980. I think I was too busy with a new baby to watch the news. The effects of the eruption were horrific. It wiped out the whole area of Silverlake and totally changed the landscape. The lake rose by over ...

Next, we stopped in Walla Walla, WA. We loved it - well, I did because there was a wine tasting place every other store front. We actually didn't stop to buy any wine, but we enjoyed a delicious lunch there in Walla Walla. We had just missed the Sweet Onion Festival but still managed to buy Walla Walla sweet onions!

Freeway speeds—Most states had reasonable top highway speeds. It was not uncommon to see 70 mph and 75 mph as the posted maximum. Utah even has a posted maximum of 80 mph, and I believe other states do ...

I will update you on my progress on this blog as often as I can, but know that it might not happen every day. As my friend Chris is often fond of saying, "It's not the destination, it's the journey..", so with that thought in mind it is time to begin my ...
