Arrived for a one night stay. Receptionist was pleasant and checked us in promptly. Room was excellent and very clean. Hotel is located right behind a shopping mall so that could be convenient for some people.
Receptionist gave us directions to several restaurants. Would stay here again as the hotel is very clean and bed comfortable.

As we reached the coast our first goal was Cannon Beach and Haystack Rock. We actually were able to walk on to the beach a little south of Cannon Beach. Although it was sunny, the air was chilly so we saw no one in the water. I,however, had to put my foot in the Pacific Ocean. Unfortunately the wave came in a little farther than I expected and the foot with the shoe still on it ...

... thought ALM would enjoy seeing Bigfoot. Dad got a tee shirt that says "Bigfoot doesn't believe in you either." We arrived at the Silverlake Mount St. Helens Visitor's Center and watched a movie and took a self guided tour at the center. I learned so much geology today I think my brain hurts. Studying an historic event that happened in your lifetime, is such a déjà vu, yet there is so much you don't know about ...

When I got to Jesse’s house, we had a great time just catching up on what our kids have been up to and what we have been doing ourselves. He showed me around his place and it looks like a pretty sweet setup. He lives in a mobile home on a road with very little traffic. It’s kind of out in the boonies but Jesse likes living away from people. He has an RV in back and told me ...

... approached, I got ready for another great night.

The show didn't quite go as planned. The concert was great, but unfortunately the video side of the house was really frustrating. Out of four cameras, only two were producing usable shots and I was one of the only ones making the shots. I'm not bragging, because for me, I have it easy. I stick with the lead singer, and don't have to move around getting usable shots. The other cameras ...

Accidentally sleeping in we didn’t actually set off till midday the next day, we had planned to visit the Ape Caves and Mt St Helens. First we headed to the Ape Caves, this was a huge Lava Tube Cave, stretching over 1.75 miles. I hugely enjoyed this it was a scramble in places and much of the tunnel was pitch black but luckily ...
