    ... the pedometer again and so far six miles of new yorks finest sidewalks have been covered. Next onto Pandora. The excitement was killing me (have to remember that it's my wifi's birthday and yes she deserves something shiny occasionally).     ... disused railway line that has been converted into a raised walkway and linear garden park). Due to its distance from a Subway (the transport variety not the sandwich variety) and having to get back to the hostel we didn't have long to look at it so only walked a small section of it, but we found it a nice use of space and not very touristy.

    A panic rush back to the hostel for a very quick shower ...

    ... the rain took refuge in a few stores around Fifth Avenue, including Sak's. Finally due to sheer exhaustion we went back to the hotel then ended up having dinner in a great Italian restaurant down the road.

    ... for the lift to the 86th floor observatory. Goodness me, the views were fantabulosa! The sky was clear and we could see for miles. See the photos.
