    Pressure was on to have the car back to NY by 4:00pm and have dropped off the luggage at Laguardia ready for the next day's plane trip. We have learnt that no matter how long the time traffic says that it is not enough. We had 6 hours, sat nav said 4 and the car was charged $54 for every over due hour.
    Off we set via Arlington and on to the turnpike to NY.

    ... covered over after Babylon was abandoned ... and had to be pieced back together like a giant jigsaw. Fortunately, gravity tended to keep them in close proximity to their original location, which made the job a hell of a lot easier than you might think (and it's not the only time archaeologists have used this technique to reconstruct other things ... the plasterwork art of the Minoan palaces at Knossos etc on Crete, for example, amongst others).

    ... wonderful at once. So, I'm glad to be taking this walkabout alone - and I'll be sharing through here. The next one will be with buds and loved ones.     ... he knocked on our door. The firemen were closing up the gates surrounding the lot so the pony wouldn't escape through there, but it was still a pretty big lot for him to wander on. Gene was up and walking around the lot at that point so he harnessed the pony with his belt and we got the pony back home again.

    This morning would have been a perfect time to get a lot of work done on props and cleaning the house but instead, we relaxed, ate lunch ...
