I've seen a lot of Alber's work over the years and never thought much of it but I wasn't aware that he wrote a book, The Interaction of Color, that talks about the theory behind the works and the lessons to be learned from each piece.

... head back! Next, on to the Church Park in Sublimity for the birthday party for Kyle- his second one! He is soooo cute and running all over now, but still not talking. He is very serious and inspects everything and you can just see his brain processing all he sees! He is wearing, for the first time, the pair of New Balance shoes we bought for him at the New Balance store near Boston. I will try to continue supplying him with shoes. ... for appetisers really odd. We headed to CPH (Citizens Public House) for their artisanal cocktails and "apps", Tanya had a City-zen cocktail, with a stick of rock on top, and Tom a Moe-Sco-Mule. Both delicious. We checked out the app's menu, and it had to be Chicken, Waffles and Honey and of course the Bernie Mac'n'cheese, not just for the name (Bernie owned the bar you see) but also as Tanya was a mac'n'cheese virgin. It was then we had the obligatory tequila.... and boy ...
