    ... pond. Entering the plane it had that new car smell . Walking down the aisle way to find my seat for the next 7 hours with a touch screen to which cheered me up. The plane began to fill with announcements in England and French about luggage.     We took an early morning ferry from Calais to Dover and cycled the 38km to Canterbury along nice country lanes arriving just before midday. The plan was to finish officially at the Cathedral but they wanted to charge us 10 / head! Fortunately we were able to blag our way in for free, by convincing them we were pilgrims (a likely story!).

    ... to be a real gem of a place, with quirky decor and amazing food and staff. After checking in we had a walk done to the waterfront, strolling along past the marina and Port of Ramsgate, visiting an antique shop tucked away under the archways of the overhead road which follows the coastline.     ... an aga which is like a stove & water heater together & none of us (especially me) knows how to really cook with it because it runs really hot & it doesn't have dials or anything to control the heat at all.
