The last four hours of which -- you know, the mountain part -- were in pouring rain and the last 15 miles -- you know, to the inn part -- were in pouring rain and pitch black darkness on the Blue Ridge Parkway. I literally kissed the ground when I got out of the car. Then drank the better half of a bottle of Gewurztraminer with dinner.

    WOOOOO!!!!! WE DID IT! I've surpassed my goal of $4500 all because of you all!! I should not be so surprised that wonderful, generous people would help sail me through the finish line of this fundraising madness, right at the last second of the fourth quarter.
