    ... After that I found my way to the Biltmore Estate. It’s a huge tourist attraction just outside of Asheville, built by George W. Vanderbilt starting in 1889. It took 6 years to complete. The place is gynormous. You have to drive about 5 km past the entrance before you even get to the house (it’s an 8000 acre property) and then it’s about another 10 kms to get back to the exit.     ... at Curate which is a Spanish Tapas Bar and Resto....very yummy food ....we had yummy potatos, a beet and citrus salad,yummy shrimp, a crudités and cheese platter, lamb swish kabobs, pork tenderloin, and yummy eggplant.     Year 2, Day 113 - Today Nick and I visited the town of Henderson, NC. This town sits among the Blue Ridge Mountains at 2,200 feet above sea level. It is a picturesque and quaint town with lots of diversity. I understand that as far back as 100 years ago, people favored this area for retirement (instead of Florida), because it offered all 4 seasons, along with temperate winters.
