Yuengling Brewery Tour and Lights Out
Although the hotel room was impressive, the continental breakfast was lacking in taste….and quantity. We opted to eat elsewhere. Collegetown Bagels was right around the corner and delicious. Right away, we made our way to our next stop: Pottsville, PA to the Yuengling Brewery.

... truth is Newton is one of many interlocking towns that were on the route out of NY. The highways are a never ending strips of shopping centres, big box stores, motels and diners with houses interspersed between. The drive into Newton shows a n attractive old town full of picturesque wooden houses. The drive out the back to the Holiday Inn Express is not so nice. The area is a converted dairy farm now subdivided into big box stores all with own car parks. ...

We stopped a couple of times alongside the river; it was very quiet and peaceful. Along the way we scared up an owl who flew beside the BAT for all of about 5 seconds, he was beautiful. We just missed running over a terrapin in the road, and of course the chipmunks were darting across the road in front of us all the while.
