... to the multitude of wrecks and to its designation as the "shipwreck coast". We visited museums in the lovely towns of Port Campbell and Warrnambool with good records and displays of the numerous shipwrecks. One which stuck to mind was the sinking of the Loch Ard in 1878. The ship was two days away from completing the three month voyage from England to Melbourne when it struck the headland at Port Campbell at a beautiful spot just off the Great Ocean Road ...
Adelaide, South Australia, Australia samndoug... lunch I went for a long walk through the neighbourhood and to the shopping mall. I found a suitcase at Target to replace mine that is cracked and broken. It probably won't last very long either but it will get me home. I found the Murray River Salt to give as gifts as Laurena gave me. Each day I feed the cat, Khloe, outside and give her a little attention by brushing her matted fur. She comes looking for me at suppertime and is always at the door as I get up in the morning.

Adelaide, South Australia, Australia kangorooisland... they went on holiday in a few days. In the evening I drove back to Glenelg to catch up with Chantal and Liz and to laugh at Will's sunburn. We had a lovely last meal with them both at a restaurant in Glenelg and were very sad to say goodbye to them on the 2nd as they headed back to Warrnambool (in one day!) and we headed up to the Adelaide. It really was special again to share some of our travel adventures with friends from home.
Glenelg, South Australia, Australia samandchantalI don't need a plan for 2009. I could plan to live through 2009 in good health but maybe I should make that a wish and a prayer? Planning is good, up to the point that your life changes everything.I make "To Do Lists" and set goals both near and distant. Paula has her planner and her Franklin Covey organizer and other tricks to remaining sane when Plan "A" ends up as Plan "F" and we aren't even on the same continent that we had set out for. Its all good. So 2008 is almost one ...
Adelaide, South Australia, Australia heligypsy... hand trauma (a lot of walls are encountered during the weekends) and brachial plexus, I see crustacians. These are the patients with SCC or BCC all over. They've got nice patchworks. To learn the histology part, a combined pathology-plastics round is planned regularly with projection of the histology, which was arranged early this morning before out-patient clinic. After an interesting morning and a visit to ...
Adelaide, South Australia, Australia christiannevn... are only about twenty yards from the wall to the water. Anyway, while I was reading at starbucks this morning, I met a nice local "blowk" who invited my jet skiing next weekend. That is the great thing about this place, the people. They are as laid back as everyone says. Anyway, I will update this because I'm running out of time. I am staying here one more night then want to move to the city to see if I can find some cooler people.
Glenelg, Australia hbomb1... from all over the world have arrived here voluntarily. And before long, I have become his guide and mentor. We share breakfast one morning with another international crowd - a pretty girl from Spain, a crew of Irish, and a white and brown Jack Russell named Fred which is an expert on the trampoline. It keeps zinging up into space in my left field of vision just as Denis slowly begins another question and it's not easy for ...

I stuff it in my pocket for the timebeing deciding on its fate. I meet Caroline one morning as I am halfway out of the mixed sex showers. And she's half way in. She has a pleasing Yorkshire accent and a friendly manner. An entire afternoon passes with her and her boyfriend Grant. They have come to Australia together to ...
