    ... art on this vacation... keep breathing...

    Speaking of breathing, I attended a two-hour session of Classic Yoga and Meditation this evening at The Yoga Room. The instructor, Maureen, was lovely-- she created this congenial, relaxed environment that came as a culture shock... she and students in the class were even asking me about my cross-country trip. It's funny to be away from DC and realize that yoga doesn't have to be a competition ;)

    ... width of the state. It was a joy to travel along that scenic road. Who knew that Pennsylvania is so gorgeous! Historically, there have always been many Germans in Pennsylvania. Is this due to the fact that the landscape was so appealing to them as it is to Mark?

    ... Growing up as a kid of a Vietnam Veteran could be pretty lonely at times. We have our own special understanding of what it means to have a Vietnam Veteran parent, including the ups and the downs, the sadness and the good times. We have finally found camaraderie, we know we are no longer alone.

    We are leaving Ohio today and heading northeast.
    Going through Ohio we went through Zanesville, named after Zane Gray. There is an exhibit here for him, but we didn't stop.
